Artist Profile

Tabitha-Storm is a ceramist based in London, who graduated from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Ceramic Design. She creates her own work at her studio in Islington and also teaches children’s art classes at a school. Teaching is a fundamental part of Tabitha-Storm’s creative process, as she believes involving others in the joy of working with clay and in the importance of passing on skills. She intends to combine her making and teaching practices throughout her career. Tabitha-Storm currently hand-builds her pieces using coiling and slab-building techniques. She creates fluid, organic shapes that form functional items such as vases, candlesticks and plates. Tabitha-Storm enjoys experimenting with a variety of clays and glazes, exploring their material qualities and finding the right balance between the functional and the sculptural. in the importance of passing on skills and bringing the joy of working with clay to others.
